Angiosperms

Angiosperms

Unlike the gymnosperms where the ovules are naked in the angiosperm in the flowering plants.the pollen grain ovules are developed in specialised structure called flower.

in the angiosperm the seeds are enclosed by fruits. The angiosperms are an exceptionally large groups of plants occurring in wide range of habits. They range in size of tiny. They provide us with food, fodder, fuel and medicines. The dicotyledons and the monocotyledons. The dicotyledons are characterised  by having to cotyledons in their seeds while the monocolyledons have only once. The only male sex organ in a flower is the stamen.each stamen consist of slender filament with an anther at tip. With in ovules are present highly reduce female gametophytes termed embryosacs. The embryosacs foration is proceed by meiosis.
The popular nuclei eventually fuse to produce diploid secondary nucleus. Pollen grains after dispersal from the anther are carried by the wind or various other agencies of the stigma of the pistil. This is termed as pollination.

Biological Classification.

since the dawn of civilization their have been many attempts to classify living organism.it was done instinctively not using criteria that were scientific but borne out of a need to use organism for our use for food, shelter and clothing.Aristotle was the earliest to attempt more scientific basis for classification. He used simple morphological characters to classify plants in to trees, shrubs and herbs. He also divided animals in to two groups, those which had red blood and those that it did not. In Linnaeus time a TWO KINGDOM System of classification with PLANTAE and ANIMALIA kingdom was developed that included all plants and animals respectively. This wsas used till very recently. This system did not distinguish between the eukaryotes and prokaryotes, unicellular and multicellular organism and photosynthetic and non photosynthetic organism.Classification of organism into plants and animals was easily done to understand, inspite, a large number of the organism did not fall to either ca...

Digestion and absorption.

Digestion and absorption. Food is the one of the organic basic requirements of all living organisms. The major components of our food carbohydrate, proteins and fats. Vitamins and minerals are also required in small quantities.Food provide energy and organic materials for growth and repair of tissues. The water we take in plays and important role in metabolic process and also prevents dehydration of the body. This process conservation of complex food substances to simple absorbable forms is called digestion and is carried out by our digestive system by mechanical and biochemical methods. Digestive system The human digestive system consists of the alimentary canal and associated glands. Alimentary canal The alimentary canal begins with an anterior opening the mouth and it open out posteriorly through the anus. The mouths leads to the buccal cavity or oral cavity. The oral cavity has a number of teeth and muscular tongue. Each type of attachment is called thecodont.   T...

THE HYPOTHALAMUS

THE HYPOTHALAMUS Its contains the several groups neurosecretory cells called nuclei which produce hormones. These hormones regulate the synthesis and the secretion of pituitary hormones. How ever the hormones produced by hypothalamus are two types, the releasing hormones. (for example) : hypothalamus hormone called gonadotrophin release hormones stimulates the pituitary synthesis and release of gonadotrophin. On the other hand somatostatin from the hypothalamus inhibits the release of growth hormones in the pituitary. This hormones originating in the hypothalamic neurons pass through axons and are release fro their never ending. This hormones reach the pituitary gland through a portal circularly system and the regulate the function of their anterior pituitary.
